How Are We Funded?

Family Focus counseling is supported by prayers and financial donations. Both are used to enable our ministry to be here to give Biblical solutions for the problems people face.

We trust the Lord through II Cor. 9:7 "Let each man give what the Lord lays on his heart to give, not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver."

He alone will advise the counselee or a donor what to give. Being a faith ministry we do not draw from insurance companies. If we depended on a certain amount from insurance, that would negate our being a faith ministry.

By not having a set fee for counseling we are trusting the Lord to show each person what they can give in appreciation for what they received. Since the inception of Family Focus USA in 1981 the Lord has provided through counselees and donors who want our monthly expenses to be paid so this ministry can continue.

We appreciate your sensitivity in this matter. We know you will be blessed by God for the counsel He gives through His Word.

Note: In compliance with IRS guidelines, the value of goods, services or other consideration given, in exchange for your gift reduces you deduction. In other words, any amount given by a donor is altogether deductible since no counseling service was received. However, only the amount 'over' $90.00 donated by a counselee for a one hour counseling session is deductible. $90.00 is the low end of a one hour fee charged by professionals for their services, on average, across the country. Since we don't charge a fee the IRS looks at the counselee's donation  as having received a service at  the going rate of value.
